Radio broadcasts important?
Now that I am no longer serving as a coach, I enjoy listening to several games with the use of my iPhone. My nephew coaches in Oklahoma and I can listen to his game as well as another nephew’s game at another location and watch another nephew’s game live. I keep up with all three nephews at the same time. With today’s technology, it is very easy to streamline sport contests via Facebook, Internet, or traditional radio.
There is an intimate relationship between sports fans and the media. Longtime sportscasters develop a cult-like following. People in every community form a lasting bond with their local sports teams’ announcer. There is nothing quite like the local radio broadcaster.
