AUSTIN – Water lightly stained; 51–57 degrees; 0.72’ low. No reports on black bass. Sunfish are slow. Catfish are fair on cut or live baitfish and nightcrawlers. Few fishermen out due to the cold weather.
BASTROP – Water stained; 56–60 degrees. Black bass are fair on watermelon red soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
BELTON – Water murky; 54–58 degrees; 0.42’ high. Black bass are good on Rat–L–Traps and spinnerbaits. Hybrid striper are good on live shad. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows under lights at night in 18–20 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and hot dogs. Yellow catfish are slow.
