Retired Sgt. First Class Michael David Wojciechowski
Michael “Mickey” Wojciechowski, 62, of Copperas Cove died Sunday, April 29. A Funeral Mass was held Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove. Burial followed at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Wojciechowski was born on April 7, 1956, in Buffalo, N.Y., to the late Leo and Delores Gaczewski Wojciechowski. Following his high school graduation in 1975, Wojciechowski joined the United States Army and served for 22 years before retiring while at Fort Hood. After his military retirement, he worked for the Texas Department of Transportations for 12 years and at the range out on Fort Hood. He married Beverly Czerminski on October 8, 1983, in Buffalo, N.Y. Wojciechowski enjoyed bowling, was active in Holy Family Catholic Church and currently serving as the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus No. 6658. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Beverly Wojciechowski; a daughter, Stacy Wojciechowski; a son, Scott Wojciechowski and wife Courtney; step-mother, Nikaline Wojciechowski; brothers Jimmy Wojciechowski and wife Jang and Br. Maximillian Wojciechowski; a sister, Diane Wojciechowski; grandchildren, Travis Seidel, Logan and Lydia Wojciechowski; nieces, Jessika and Jasmin Wojciechowski, Nicole Czerminski; and his only brother-in-law, Gary Czerminski and wife Gabrielle. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been requested to be directed to the family to help with final expenses. Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove was in charge of arrangements.
