Volunteers clean up park waterways
Warm and sunny weather called out to the residents of Copperas Cove to take advantage of a beautiful Saturday and many did so by joining Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful in their effort to clean up the waterways around City Park.
More than 70 volunteers met in the library parking lot, ready to get muddy and wet. Among them were Todd Morris and his two daughters, Joey, 9, and Jaiden, 8. Morris said he’s volunteered a few times with KCCB, and though it was Joey’s second time, it was the first for Jaiden. Both girls said they were excited to volunteer and hoped they’d find something cool. “Last time I found a bunch of shells and we saw a snake,” said Joey Morris.
