In recent years, competitive eating has become a popular sport, not just in the U.S. but across the world. Competitive eaters compete in challenges and in races against the clock in solo challenges. Like any member of a competitive sport, participants are always looking for a new challenge, and it was one of Copperas Cove’s big eating challenges that brought the popular Japanese “Food Fighter” Angela Sato to the Waffle Cone this past Tuesday.
Sato, 43, was chosen by a Japanese TV Show Sekai Kurabete Mitara, which translates to “When the World is Compared,” to travel to the United States and show the cultural differences of big eating, as well as try a few challenges during her time here.
