Art Guild working on pair of murals
The eighth Five Hills Art Guild mural has been designed and work got underway this week at a building owned by David Hull and known as Ken’s Automotive Repair at 302 South Main Street.
Linda LaPierre, the project chairman, says work should be completed within a week. “This mural is not as detailed as others have been, so work should go rather smoothly and quickly,” said LaPierre.
“This mural is a patriotic tribute to our soldiers, both men and women,” she said. “There was a Texas Flag design on the wall previously. The paint had faded and the owner wanted to freshen it up. So we came up with a design for the 40-foot by 13-foot wall. This is not the largest mural we have done.
