Woman gives up her hair to battle childhood cancer
It was a close shave for Heather Bradish of Copperas Cove.
On Monday evening, Bradish had her long hair sheared at her friends place, ESG YOGA at 620 Town Square Plaza, which will go to locks of love that will use it to create wigs for those undergoing cancer treatment.
I’m glad to do this for something positive and an actual cause,” said Bradish.
Cutting her hair completely off is not new to Bradish.
“Back when I was 17 I used to shave it off or get mohawks just for fun. This time it’s different,” she said.
But her hair donation was not all she did. She set a goal of raising $300 dollars to go to the Saint Baldrick’s Foundation. This foundation, as stated on their website, exists to help change the realities of childhood cancer.
