Club hears from director of CTC’s paramedic program
Getting the most highly trained professional to be at one’s side when an emergency call goes out is the goal of Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic Program Director Coordinator Tammy Samarripa at Central Texas College. Samarripa spoke to the Exchange Club at their regular meeting Wednesday morning.
”For EMS providers, we start with a level known as EMR, Emergency Medical Responder. A lot of times you will see these in rural volunteer fire departments,” said Samarripa The next level is EMT, Emergency Medical Technician, followed by advanced EMT and then the last level, which is the highest level of training for EMS providers, the paramedic.
