For three years, Alyssa Arnold played junior high school football as a defensive tackle until an ACL injury last year cut short her dream of playing all through high school.
The Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs basketball team will begin its playoff run Tuesday when they play DeSoto at McLennan Community College in a bi-district matchup. Tip off time is at 6 p.m.
Copperas Cove gained two more district teams Thursday when the biennial UIL realignment was announced, and the district will also be back in Region II.
Both Copperas Cove High School basketball teams lost Wednesday night in games that were delayed because of bad weather.
