After record increase in new coronavirus tests, positive rate finally drops

The Texas Tribune is using data from the Texas Department of State Health Services to track how many people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Texas each day. The state data comes from 57 city and county health departments, about 600 hospitals and 340 laboratories and the state vital records registration. Fairview-Miss Jewell Elementary School welcomes students back to class Tuesday. Over 4,000 students are expected to attend class next week, just over half of the CCISD population. All students will be required to wear a mask but the district doesn’t guarantee students will be kept six feet apart, either on buses, in the classroom or in the hallways.
